[from Zagreb] Truffle hunting in Motovun – private day tour

Town of Motovun in central Istria is a famous place for truffles. In a forest called Livade which spreads in vicinity of Motovun, a lot of high quality truffles can be found. This private tour combines sightseeing of beautiful town of Motovun, with fun and educational truffle hunting demonstration with a professional truffle hunter and his dogs. On top of that, every guest will be rewarded with tasting of various meals with truffles!

Highlights:

Experience truffle hunting with us! In Croatia, highly trained dogs are used to search truffles, which is also an interesting point.
Depending on the season, it is possible to find not only black truffles, but also rare and valuable white truffles.
A white truffle with weight of 1,3 kilograms, listed in the Guinness Book of Records, was found in this area.
We think You will like the sightseeing of Motovun, a medieval town situated on a hill with a fortified town center on the top, and houses scattered all over the hill.

08:00	Pickup at a desired location and departure to Motovun in a private air conditioned vehicle. (230km / 3 hours）
11:00	Upon arrival to Motovun, a short introduction with the truffle hunter, and the hunting can begin! The hunter and his dogs fearlessly enter deep into the woods. After approximately 2 hours of hunting, guest can enjoy tasting of meals prepared on various styles using truffles as key ingredient.
14:00	After the hunting and the tasting, please enjoy a guided tour of the picturesque town of Motovun. The view from the top is amazing! Throughout the town, a few specialised truffle shops are located, so we're sure You will find a nice souvenir. Truffle paste in a jar is recommended for export, since the expiry date is very generous.
15:00	After the tour, a transfer back to Zagreb。（230km / 3 hours）
18:00	Arrival to Zagreb. End of the tour.
